If we have to speak of one of the most overlooked countries in the world, Belgium would certainly be talked about in length. The country offers a splendid amalgamation of historical landmarks (which Europe is popular for), renaissance architectures, and medieval towns. To many, Belgium comes across as a good quick weekend getaway destination, which is really a pity since the country is historically one of the most complex and intriguing parts of Europe. And, the Oh-So-Delicious food that you’d get here is a motivation enough.
Where To Go – Bruges, Ghent, Flanders, Antwerp, Wallonia

An island nation in the eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus holds an important place not just in the history of Europe, but the entire world. Its long history and rich culture spans to 10,000 years, and is largely renowned for its mineral wealth, splendid wines, and natural beauty since ancient times. While, the tiny island nation certainly has the pre-requisites of being a European country with marvelous ancient architectures, what it boasts of are some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world. Nothing could make a scorching summer vacation better than a platter of meze and a glass of chilled sweet wine by the beach.

A tough competitor to France in terms of tourism in Europe, Italy is another country that should be on your list of places to visit in Europe this summer. My personal favourite, largely for its world class cuisine, Italy has something to offer to every kind of traveller. One of the most diverse and beautiful landscapes in Europe; the world’s greatest hoard of art treasures; and, most important of all for many, a delicious and authentic national cuisine. The richness of its historical legacy can be seen through the lenses of its capital city Rome; one of the strongest and largest empires from ancient times. People in Italy are proud of their culture and history which clearly reflects from their lifestyle.
Where To Go – Rome, Tuscany, Milan, Venice, Le Marche, Florence
When To Go – April to October (try avoid visiting in July and August)
The northernmost country in the United Kingdoms, Scotland is a place overwhelming with serene landscape and elegant lifestyle. One gets a sense of royalty breezing in from all corners of this place. At times, it really gets tricky to actually define the magnificence of this place in simple words. The royalty of world class scotch, prolific melodies of bagpipes, and the grandeur of castles atop rocks; all this makes Scotland a different league of European country altogether. The geographical placement of this marvellous country may put it in a remote location, but certainly not into an isolated one; Edinburgh and Glasgow are a solid proof of that.
Where To Go – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Highlands, Inverness, Perthshire
When To Go – May to September
